Disaster recovery tests are usually carried out in the following three parts:

• Test preparation
• Test execution
• Test wrap-up

Test preparation:
In this phase, the test environment agreed on with the customer is prepared at the CITA.

Test execution:
Text execution is primarily the customer’s responsibility, with COMback’s staff giving supporting advice.
All results during text execution have to be logged to enable a review against the specifications.

Test wrap-up:
When wrapping up the text, the following tasks need to be carried out:
• Storing the configuration used in the test
• Recovery of defined initial conditions, e.g. network (WAN, LAN), workstation.
• Clearing of the used storage areas.
