The history of COMback GmbH starts in 1993, even if the company’s foundation in its legal form was carried out on 1st October 2000. In 1993, a new usage was considered for the former Government Bunker of the government of the land Baden-Württemberg. The Stuttgart office of a system house saw this as an opportunity to escape the limitations of the hardware industry and realize a plan they had had for a long time:
Development of a service business in the area of IT security.
In negotiations with the land Baden-Württemberg, a fair agreement could be reached about an extremely long-term usage of the highly secure buildings for the planned business purpose (disaster recovery). With alterations of the buildings, which took almost a year, the infrastructure was adjusted to the new purpose.
