Due to our specific service portfolio, the IT hardware (HW) used in the CITA is structured in four categories:

- Customer-specific (exclusive) HW for disaster recovery (DR)
- Shared HW for DR
- customer-owned HW (only colocation)
- COMback-internal hardware (incl. HW for subsidiaries).

Correlating with the air conditioning and fire protection concept, hardware is usually located in sealed-off rooms within the CITA, with storage systems (SAN) being positioned exclusively with regard to security, while devices operated for disaster recovery have been positioned with consideration for aspects of workflow optimization.
